Former Chief Minister Katy Gallagher is yet to give a date for her departure from the ACT Assembly, other than saying she will leave before Christmas.

Ms Gallagher is working from home, with new Chief Minister Andrew Barr now in her office.
She hasn't told Speaker Vicki Dunne when she will resign as an Assembly member. Until she does, Mrs Dunne cannot inform ACT Electoral commissioner Phillip Green, who will conduct the countback to fill Ms Gallagher's vacancy.
Mr Barr said on Tuesday the exact date was in Ms Gallagher's hands.
Once she resigns, Mr Green will advertise for the candidates in her seat of Molonglo who didn't get elected to contest the countback. Candidates have 10 days to put up their hands before the preferences are counted. With no time to complete the countback before Christmas, Mr Green will not advertise the vacancy till January 5 at the earliest.
Nominations close for Kate Lundy's Senate seat on Thursday, December 18. So far, Ms Gallagher is the only candidate to nominate for the ACT Labor party pre-selection and the party doesn't expect anyone else to come forward.
