A woman armed with a knife threatened reception staff at the Mercure Hotel in Braddon before stealing cash and fleeing on a mountain bike on Sunday morning.

Police say the woman entered the reception of the Ainslie Avenue hotel around 9am threatening two female staff members and demanding cash.
A male staff member attempted to restrain the offender and a brief struggle ensued. The man sustained minor injuries as a result of the fight.
The offender then fled the hotel on a bicycle with a sum of cash.
Police have described the woman as Caucasian in appearance, with a slim build and around 160cm tall.
She was wearing black pants and jacket with a grey hood over her head.
The woman was riding a dark-coloured mountain bike.
Police wish to speak with anyone who may have seen the offender in the Ainslie Avenue and Kanangra Court vicinity.
