A large number of tools worth more than $26,000 were stolen from a Chisholm construction site on Thursday night.

The site, on the corner of Mead Street and Benham Street, was burgled between 5.30pm Thursday and 6.30am on Friday morning, according to police.
Police said entry to the site was forced and the perpetrators were suspected to have gained entry by climbing over a wall attached to the site office building.
A vehicle may have been used in the burglery, where 37 items were taken.
A spokeswoman for ACT Policing said members of the community should be aware receiving stolen property knowingly was a crime and anyone who was approached to sell suspected stolen goods should contact the police.
