An email between two sisters' sparked memories of abuse at the hands of Lazo Djenadija, a court has heard.

The email read: "Did he ever do anything to you?"
"It all came flooding back," the woman said while reading a victim impact statement to a Canberra court on Wednesday.
"So here I am, for the very last time, telling my story. Only this time I take the power you've had over me.
"You are now going to pay the price. It's over."
Three assaults were committed on the younger sister, and one against the older.
The younger sister was twice abused on a bed at the home, with Djenadija rubbing himself on her and making her touch his penis.
The older sister was molested by the janitor when he took her to a high school after hours.
He indecently assaulted her as she sat on gym mats in a storage room.
The sisters read victim impact statements to the court on Wednesday, describing growing up feeling tarnished, feeling not worthy, in fear, and with anxiety.
The younger sister spoke of the hate she felt sharing a "dirty secret" with the offender.
"I refuse to let you control my life. I refuse to let you rob me any further," she said.
"You stole what was mine, you stole my innocence.
"You stole my dreams, my hopes, and my ability to succeed. You stole my life."
Chief Justice Helen Murrell was forced to warn Djenadija's supporters they would be charged with contempt after one laughed during the statement and spoke to the second sister before she delivered her evidence.
Crown prosecutor Jane Campbell said the offences had been a breach of trust and the victims had been entitled to feel safe in the offenders care.
Ms Campbell said Djenadija had shown no remorse and jail term was the appropriate punishment.
The defence argued the 75-year-old suffered from a number of health issues – including hypertension and diabetes – which could not be effectively managed in jail.
But Chief Justice Helen Murrell said a jail sentence was the only appropriate punishment for the crimes.
Chief Justice Murrell said the length of sentences for acts of indecency had been increased in 1985, after the offences had been committed.
It meant the judge had to construct Djenadija's punishment in accordance with the more lenient historical laws.
Chief Justice Murrell sentenced Djenadija to 23 months jail, with a non-parole period of four months, with the remainder suspended upon entering a good behaviour order.
He will be eligible for release November.
