They normally feature tiny ceramic landmarks but a giant snow globe at Canberra Airport is allowing visitors to Canberra to be part of a life-size souvenir.

The giant snow globe is five metres in diameter, features faux snow, an inflatable snowman, a small Christmas tree and the chance to have 'snow' much fun. It's part of Capital Airport Group's Christmas in July celebrations.
"It's the school holidays so we thought it would give families a great start to their trips away," an airport spokesperson said.
"People of all ages, from the littlies to grown-ups, have come out of the snow globe with huge smiles on their faces which is fantastic to see.
"We've even seen a few flight crews hop inside too."
The globe is on the move this week, heading to the Vibe Hotel on Thursday July 6 and Friday July 7, and then making a more permanent home at Majura Park Shopping Centre between Monday July 10 and Thursday July 13.
"The snow globe also highlights that Canberra is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains - people can stay here for a night and then drive down and hit the slopes the next day," the spokesperson said.
