A fox has killed a number of the popular Little Penguins at the National Zoo and Aquarium.

National Zoo and Aquarium director Trent Russell confirmed on Thursday the zoo had lost some of their cherished penguins to a fox attack.
The penguins died on Tuesday night, according to a source.
"We have one or more keepers deeply distressed by this event and as an ongoing policy, we wish to make no further comment," he said.
He said the zoo was investigating the incident.
Visitors outside the National Zoo on Thursday said they had been unable to visit the area normally containing the little penguins, as it was closed off.
An RSPCA spokesman said inspectors had not heard anything from the zoo's management or from members of the public regarding the penguins.
“We can only attend an incident once it has been reported to us,” said the spokesman.
