An man who was bitten by a snake on his upper leg while at Mount Kosciuszko has been transferred to the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

The 32 year old was air resuced by a Snowy Hydro South Care helicopter from a location near Dr Forbes Hut in the national park.
An ACT Health spokesman said doctors had not yet determined the type of snake bite the patient sustained.
The air rescue mission was initiated shortly after 2.30pm on Saturday and the man arrived at the Canberra Hospital at around 5.30pm.
