A 44-year-old man is expected to face court in January after unregistered firearms and ammunition were found under a bed in Moruya, on the NSW south coast.

About 5.30pm last Sunday, police from Far South Coast Local Area Command searched the man's caravan at a caravan park on the Princess Highway, Coila.
They seized a Bruno bolt action .22calibre rifle, a lever action Browning .223 calibre rifle with Tasco sight, and a Russian Baikal 12-gauge shotgun; and various ammunition, which were locked in a firearms safe under his bed.
The man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of possess unauthorised firearm, possess unregistered firearm and possess ammunition without a licence.
He is due to appear at Moruya Local Court on Friday January 8.
