A Canberra man has been accused of printing more than 20 explicit images of his former partner, laminating some and threatening to distribute them.

He is one of the first to be charged under Canberra's new "revenge porn" laws passed August last year.
Police allege that when they searched the Gordon home of the 47-year-old man, who has not been named to protect the identity of his former partner, he had more than 20 images of the woman printed on posters.
After the man made an application for bail, a police informant called to give evidence told the ACT Magistrates Court some of the images were laminated, and some had vulgar captions written across them.
The court heard the man and the woman had ended their relationship earlier this year. They have a three-year-old girl.
In one allegation aired in court, the woman allegedly saw one of the printed images when she went to the man's home to pick up their daughter's belongings.
Questioned about the image, the man allegedly said "there's more of those in her school bag", though there were none there when the woman checked.
The officer said he believed the taking of the images to have been consensual.
The man's defence barrister, James Stewart, said the man ran his own business in Canberra. He said the man had no criminal history, and prosecutors were relying on verbal accusations and not objective evidence.
He said their daughter was expecting him to pick her up from day care Monday afternoon.
But prosecutors pointed to the printed and laminated images police found at his house.
She said the man had allegedly gone to "an awful lot of trouble to humiliate and degrade ... the mother of his child".
He had displayed a reckless indifference to the child's exposure to the sexually explicit material, and had written comments of a "really vulgar nature", the prosecutor said.
Special Magistrate Ken Cush said the man's release on bail was finely balanced, but pointed to the support of his family who were present in court, the offer of a surety and the presumption in favour of bail.
He released the man on strict conditions including that he not approach or contact the woman and report daily to police.
The man has been charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence and three counts of threaten to capture or disseminate intimate images.
He has not entered pleas.
He is due back in court on March 20.
