A Canberra man allegedly hid in a bush outside a Wanniassa unit block before he emerged and allegedly shot a man in the leg, shattering his shin bone, in a dispute over drugs, a court has heard.

It's alleged the shooting victim told Ernest Bruce Jacky, 33, to "go and get f-----" when the accused pulled a sawn-off shotgun out of his pants and pointed it at him before pulling the trigger.
Police said they found blood on the road outside the Jenner Court residence after they were called following reports of a single gunshot the night of June 26 in 2015.
Jacky was arrested in May this year and charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm and firearm offences.
He pleaded not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court and has been committed to stand trial.

Police who spoke to the alleged victim observed a deep, eight-centimetre wound on his right shin which had exposed bone and muscle, and noticed two holes in the leg of his jeans.
The alleged victim later told police the pair had argued earlier that day and the man had noticed the accused hiding in the bushes outside the Tuggeranong unit block that afternoon.
He said he'd tried to stop the accused after he'd drawn the gun and ordered him to lie on the floor.
But the defendant had allegedly fired the single shot, forcing the man to the ground, before he fled.
The alleged victim tried to run after him but stumbled, court documents said.
He underwent surgery to remove metal pellets from the wound and doctors grafted skin and muscle to repair the damage.
Police later spoke to Jacky, who admitted he knew the alleged victim but said he had "no reason to cause him harm" because "he doesn't care about the guy".
Jacky made a bid for bail, which was opposed by the prosecution, on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Anthony Williamson said Jacky had been on the run from police for several months after the alleged shooting, which had apparently arisen from a dispute over drugs.
Jacky's Aboriginal Legal Service defence lawyer said any community safety concerns could be addressed if Jacky was released to attend a residential drug rehabilitation facility when a place became available in October.
But Magistrate Maria Doogan denied bail, noting the seriousness of the offences and Jacky's history of disregarding court orders.
"It's not safe to release into the community people going around discharging firearms," she said.
Jacky was remanded in custody. His case will be mentioned in the Supreme Court next week.
