A young man has been accused of carrying out a violent crime spree with friends on a single night in October 2010, robbing at least three people, assaulting two others and stealing dozens of bottles of alcohol.

Christopher Slater, 20, of Griffith in NSW, faced 16 charges in the ACT Magistrates Court today, including aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, assault and theft.
He did not enter pleas.
Police allege Slater and his friends came to the territory in a stolen car, committed a series of crimes on the night of October 9, 2010, and then left.
They allegedly broke into a supermarket, stealing dozens of bottles of alcohol and soft drink and 113 ACTION bus tickets.
Police say Slater was carrying an axe when he robbed one of the victims and lay in wait for one woman to try and steal her handbag.
The court heard Slater had been jailed for more than a year for offences committed in NSW on the night of October 9.
He was extradited to Canberra after being released on parole in NSW.
Slater’s lawyer told the court his client was still a young man with hopes for rehabilitation and it was in his best interests to be bailed to live with his parents in Griffith and complete his rehab.
The court heard Slater would be subject to the supervision of NSW parole services and would be returned to jail for breaching parole if he committed any further offences.
But the prosecution argued the case against Slater was strong and he was very likely to spend more time in jail if found guilty.
The court heard there was a risk that Slater would fail to appear in court and could commit further crimes.
Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker refused bail and remanded Slater in custody until later this month.
