Three men have been fined $5400 for pig hunting in Namadgi National Park and another person is being investigated, the ACT Parks and Conservation Service says.

ACT Parks and Conservation Service regional manager Brett McNamara said the men were using dogs and a four-wheel drive when they were caught illegally hunting in the park on Wednesday June 29.
"I am pleased that following a subsequent investigation between ACT Policing and ACT Parks and Conservation Service the men have now received significant fines. During the course of this work, a fourth man has also been identified and is under investigation for four incidences of illegal hunting in a reserve between February 2016 and July 2016," Mr McNamara said in a statement.
"This sends a clear message to the community that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Illegal hunting poses a risk to other park users, wildlife and native habitat."
He also encouraged people to report illegal hunting, or any other illegal activity, such as dangerous driving or vandalism, that they saw in national parks.
