Two men who held up a bottle shop in Canberra's north threatened staff with a gun before fleeing with cash and cigarettes, police say.

The men, wearing balaclavas, entered the Celebrations bottle shop on O'Hanlon Place, Nicholls about 7.45pm on Wednesday night and pulled a firearm on the cashier.
They demanded cash and cigarettes and fled with the goods in a white Ford Courier ute with ACT registration YHV88Z.
Police have recovered the car but are still searching for the men.
They are described as being of fair complexion, about 173cm tall and aged in their 20s.
One was wearing grey track pants, a grey hooded top and a black balaclava.
The other was carrying a white bag, and wearing grey trousers, a blue hooded top with red lining and a black balaclava.
