A high-end mixed-use precinct next to Westfield Belconnen is a step closer to fruition with 226 residential units set to hit the market in April.

The precinct will occupy two neighbouring blocks on Emu Bank formerly used as car parks.
Saturday's soft launch of the 24-storey, two-tower development Cirrus has been highly anticipated, according to Colliers International director of project marketing Derek Whitcombe, who has already fielded several inquiries.
Mr Whitcombe said interest has come from both owner occupiers and investors.
"We're expecting a lot of interest from downsizers," Mr Whitcombe said.
"People in Belconnen suburbs such as Weetangera and Hawker will be looking at this project carefully and for the first time some of these downsizers will consider apartment living."
In a Canberra first, all apartments in the development will be north facing and capture water views.
Per-se Developments managing director Anthony Tokich said Cirrus' lakefront position adjoining the shopping centre makes it a unique offering.
He said the team, which includes Redgen Mathieson Architects, has created a seamless, high-end design with no wasted space.
"The aspect and the orientation is very unique to Canberra, the level of the internal fit-out has been elevated with the use of one of Australia's best designers," Mr Tokich said.
The first four floors of the 18 and 24-storey buildings have been styled as a podium, with a swimming pool and gym connecting the towers.
One, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a select number of penthouses will be available.
The development is the first of the precinct's two stages.
A 13-storey tower containing 100 residential units will be built on the neighbouring site.
Restaurants and commercial space on the ground floor of each tower will bring more lakefront amenity to Belconnen.
"We're going to be inviting some existing operators in Canberra that have a proven track record to come and open their business in the commercial space," Mr Tokich said.
Negotiations are underway, but Mr Tokich said they're looking for quality occupants who "do things a little bit differently", whether they're a restaurant or professional service.
The residential units will be officially released to the public on April 22. Construction will commence later this year and an 18-month to two-year build is anticipated.
