A "molotov cocktail" was thrown through the front window of a house in Kambah causing the curtains to catch fire early Friday morning, police say.

Officers were called to the home in Chirnside Circuit at about 2.50am.
The fire was extinguished before ACT Fire and Rescue arrived. No one was injured during the incident, but investigations are ongoing.
