Three people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to hospital after four separate smashes across the capital caused city-wide delays on Wednesday morning.

A series of traffic snarls clogged up several of Canberra's arterial roads, compounding the pain for commuters.
A two-car crash on the Majura Parkway near Tambreet Street around 7am began a traffic crawl which would continue throughout peak hour.
One northbound lane was closed as emergency services personnel attempted to free both drivers from their vehicles.
Both were taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries.
The lane remained closed until around 9.15am.
Around the same time of the Majura Parkway crash, a single vehicle crash at the the Aikman Drive exit of Ginninderra Drive at Bruce closed one eastbound lane.
The road was also closed, and reopened close to 8am.
A three-car pile-up caused more delays for those travelling eastbound to Queanbeyan on Pialligo Avenue near the intersection of Scherger Drive.
The subsequent partial closure of the road complicated traffic problems caused by the earlier traffic madness on the Majura Parkway.
No one was injured in the rear-end prang, which occurred around 8.50am.
The road was reopened shortly after 9.45am.
A pregnant woman was taken to hospital for assessment after a minor crash on Parkes Way and Coranderrk Street in the city.
Emergency services were called to the smash shortly before 9am.
