Hidden gem? Some Cafe in Collector – though it's hardly hidden now. Good friends of mine Oliver and Lucy opened Some Cafe in Collector almost a year ago. A long black and a ''dingo'' on the verandah is the best way to sneak away for a few hours.
Weekend haunt? Barrio. The guys at Barrio are the first people I talk to each morning. Such a great team serving amazing food and coffee. Lucky to have them so close to home.
Place to take visitors? Monster. Hotel Hotel has always been so supportive of my studio thorough the years. It's a beautiful place to relax and eat at all hours of the day – and I love that Monster is open so late.
People-watching spot? Brodburger. The weather is perfect to sit outside Brod in the evening and watch people. Absolutely the best burgers in Canberra.
Place to unwind? Bar Rochford. I'm here more than I would like to admit. An amazing wine list and Courtney's new menu is delicious.
Treat? Tak kee – the best barbecue duck in Canberra. Roast duck Gow Gee noodle soup.
