My Canberra with John Marshall from Frugii

Hidden gem? First, the gorgeous designer shops in the ORI Building. They're all "next door" to Frugii, and have a brilliant selection of clothes, homeware, gifts, and stunning flowers. Then there's the IGA Ainslie specialty cheese section. Yes, IGA Ainslie has one of the best cheese selections in the ACT. I just love cheese. If we want to treat ourselves to a nice curry, we go to Indian Affair, in Phillip. I love their chicken vindaloo, and their butter chicken is to die for.

Weekend haunt? I don't get out much on a weekend as Frugii is so busy, and weekends are our busiest time. But I would love to get over to Pialligo Estate for one of their breakfasts. We do however, regularly eat their award-winning bacon. If I had the time, I would trip on down to the coast and get some fish and chips at Batemans Bay.

Place to take visitors? Definitely the War Memorial, this place rocks. There's always something new being displayed. Then there's restaurant Eightysix in Braddon. I'm still dreaming about their sous vide blackened chicken. Then of course, if children are involved, first take them to The Hamlet for a variety of different foods, plus a quick visit to Frugii, then over to the Canberra Deep Space Communication complex.

People watching spot? Definitely Lonsdale Street is the place to be. We've had countless VIP visitors in our shop, and recently most of the Davis Cup team.

Place to unwind? Thai Bliss Therapeutic Massage without a doubt. You can simply walk in, kick your shoes off – and enjoy an absolutely gorgeous massage. There's [also] a great walk with a view up at the Mount Stromlo Observatory. It's been a while since the fires ravaged Canberra, and this place is looking good.

Treat? I would love to get away to the islands up in far North Queensland and do some night scuba diving. This, followed by a quick trip to Barcelona to eat anything and everything would be heaven.
