The National Capital Authority will forgo nearly $30,000 in revenue from parking fines due to an administrative error.

The error resulted in 309 parking fines in the parliamentary triangle being issued between August 1 and 5 for $97, instead of $102.
Rather than having motorists pay the lower fine, the NCA is waiving the fines completely, and refunding those who have already paid.
The decision has been described as gesture of goodwill.
NCA executive director Helen Badger said the error was caused by "our lovely computers that we all work with".
"We do have the ability to reissue the fines at the higher rate although in this instance we will not be doing so," she said.
Ms Badger said some people had already paid their fines and they would be refunded in full if they had not already received the payment.
"We would like anyone with an infringement notice to contact our free call number and let us know so that we can formally withdraw the fine."
Ms Badger urged anyone with a parking infringement from the first five days of August to contact the authority on 1800 772 403.
"This doesn't apply to any infringement other than those issued on those days"
Pay parking in the Parliamentary Triangle has now paid for itself with more than $1 million in revenue collected within six months of its implementation.
NCA figures show the new system is generating $1.5 million in monthly revenue, mostly in parking fees from people who park legally, but it also includes infringements.
The first $1 million in fines was reached at precisely the six-month mark, meaning the system collects about $166,000 a month in infringements.
Pay parking cost $4.4 million to set up and costs another $130,000 per month to administer.
