A police dog has escaped injury in a two-car crash in Fyshwick on Wednesday.

The dog was travelling in the back of a police vehicle on Newcastle Street when a second car rear-ended the cop car, an ACT Policing spokeswoman said.
The police officer and his dog were on duty at the time of the 12.45pm crash.
The spokeswoman said the crash was minor and the dog and driver were not harmed.
