Need me some umami

Got this yearning - late in the week, can't think of cooking, you've been there - for something simple and delicious, quick but with some thought and positive energy. Japanese sort of feels right. Actually, I really want just a nice big bowl of noodles: ramen, udon, soba, anything. I think it's that umami flavour or taste, I get them confused, that I'm needing: rich and salty. So I'm speaking miso or dashi and if there is duck involved, well all right, all the better.
