New clues emerge a decade after murder

Childcare worker Kathryn Grosvenor was murdered just over 10 years ago, stabbed more than 60 times, and her naked body was weighed down by a concrete bollard taken from Anthony Rolfe Drive in Gungahlin.

Now, police have publicly released information from a witness, who is believed to have seen two men loading a block of concrete kerbing into a black ute in the area.

Those men were seen in late February or early March at the intersection of Mirrabei Drive, Gundaroo Drive and Anthony Rolfe Avenue Gungahlin.

The witness had also seen a second red car parked on the median strip.

Police are hoping this new information may jog the memory of others, and are calling on any witnesses who may be able to identify the two men to come forward.

Ms Grosvenor's body was discovered by a canoeist on March 9, 2002 in Yarralumla Bay.

A similar plea for information had been made on the 10th anniversary of Ms Grosvenor's death earlier this month.

Ms Grosvenor is known to have spoken with her mother about 7.50pm on the night of her disappearance.

Police have also recorded two unconfirmed sightings of Ms Grosvenor on Curran Drive and at the George Harcourt Inn in Nicholls later that night.

She was wearing electric-blue platform boots and dark pants.

Police had hoped for a breakthrough in the case last year, when they located three similar pairs of boots in Wagga Wagga and Bookham.

But those hopes had been dashed when the family confirmed the boots did not belong to Ms Grosvenor.

Ms Grosvenor was described as 178cm tall, with reddish brown hair, and carrying a green backpack.
