The man who assaulted a motorcyclist at a Lyneham intersection last week appears to have recorded the attack on his mobile phone.

Dash cam footage published by The Canberra Times on Monday showed a learner motorcyclist stopped at red lights on the white line at the intersection of Northbourne Avenue and Mouat Street in Lyneham.
It showed a man exiting a black car that was stopped behind the motorbike, approaching the motorcyclist and punching him repeatedly in the head and back before running back to his car.
In extended footage the owner of the dash cam sent to The Canberra Times on Wednesday, the man throwing the hits can be seen holding a black mobile phone with his left hand, which he points towards the motorcyclist that he punches with his right arm.
The dash cam owner, who asked not to be named, said there was no provocation from the motorcyclist, although he appeared to be speaking to the driver of the black car before the assault began.
"The motorcyclist was originally stopped behind that car, next to me, and then he decided to go out and go in between the two cars at the front," the man said.
"Everyone was stopped and that antagonised the person in the car. It was pretty scary stuff."
After the man returns to his car, the extended footage shows the driver and the motorcyclist appearing to speak again as the motorcyclist puts his hand on the top of his helmet.
The man said he was extremely shocked by the attack, which happened on November 8, and reported it to Crime Stoppers the next day.
Crime Stoppers apparently told him he might be contacted by a police officer, but by Saturday he had not heard anything so he uploaded the video to the Dash Cam Owners Australia facebook page.
"Following your article in The Canberra Times I decided to ring the police direct and retell them," the man said.
"The officer just said it would have been reported to a case officer by crimestoppers – no timeframe was mentioned. Nobody has contacted me."
An ACT Policing spokesman said they were trying to track down the report to confirm whether the incident was being investigated.
The assault was initially believed to have occurred at about 3.40pm, but the man said he forgot to adjust his dash cam clock daylight savings and it took place at 4.40pm.
The ACT began a two-year trial in February 2015 to allow motorcycle lane filtering, which is what the motorcyclist appeared to be doing in the video.
It refers to when motorcyclists ride between lanes or rows of slow moving or stopped traffic moving in the same direction.
The police spokesman said it was also only permitted when safe to do so, when speeds do not exceed 30 kilometres per hour and by fully licensed drivers.
"The message from police is simple, show courtesy and respect to all road users – whether they're driving, riding or walking," the spokesman said.
"While police have a strong presence on our roads, we can't be everywhere. We need the community to be our eyes and ears. If you see someone driving recklessly or acting in an anti-social manner, report it to ACT Policing on 131 444."
