New data from music streaming platform Spotify has reinforced Canberra's love of british crooners Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, but also reveals we're huge Bieber fans.

Spotify celebrated its birthday last week and released five years worth of Canberra data to celebrate. Statistics show the top three albums most streamed by Canberrans are Ed Sheeran's x, Justin Bieber's Purpose and Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour.
Bieber also comes in at number five on our most streamed songs of all time with his global hit Where Are You Now. Sheeran holds the number one most streamed song with Thinking Out Loud.
The Spotify data also shows that Canberra is the "most musical city" in the nation. Out of 100 cities in Australia with the most users, Canberra has the highest ratio of plays to users. We sit at the top of the list of most songs played per user, ahead of North Sydney, Surry Hills, Richmond and Bondi.
Dance pop is our favourite music genre, followed closely by pop and Australian alternative rock.
