Matthew Ho Chul O'Connor, of Kambah, faced the ACT Magistrate's Court on Saturday charged with forcefully stealing a BMX bike in company, in an incident that allegedly occurred at Belconnen bus interchange on November 20.
Mr O'Connor denies the charge. The court heard Mr O'Connor was there at the time of the offence, but filmed the fight and did not take part.
No pleas were entered.
The court heard Mr O'Connor was on bail and subject to a good behaviour bond for other alleged offences at the time.
The prosecutor raised concerns of "a pattern starting to emerge" in the man's behaviour.

Mr O'Connor was refused bail to reappear before the court on December 14.
