There will be pop-up stalls, free family activities and local produce for sale from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
Questacon will provide some science, the National Zoo and Aquarium some reptiles and there may even be an interloper or two from the National Dinosaur Museum.
Also represented on the day will be the Australian Institute of Sport, National Capital Exhibition, Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, Cockington Green Gardens, Canberra Region Truffle Festival, Mulga Bike Tours and Dave's Brewery Tours.
The open day will also showcase some of the region's best local produce with tastings from Canberra Distillery Company, Homeleigh Olive Oil, Pialligo Estate, Pact Beer, Jasper and Myrtle, Wildbrumby Schnapps and more.
Visitors will have the chance to pick up prizes with a live outside broadcast from Hit104.7 Canberra. The Advocates will provide the music.
Enterprise Canberra executive director Ian Hill said the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre had become a destination in its own right, since relocating to picturesque Regatta Point just over six months ago.
"The new centre presents visitor information in a different way, with state-of- the-art technology, interactive digital displays, a large scale video wall and a dedicated kid's zone combined with insider tips from our friendly staff and volunteers," he said.
"However the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre isn't just for out-of-towners. I encourage locals to check out this fantastic attraction, where they can pick up tickets to events and exhibitions, purchase a great range of local products and get all the information they need to impress visiting friends and relatives and become advocates for our beautiful city."
