An online petition for increased rescue personnel in the search for missing Canadian student Prabhdeep Srawn has received more than 5700 signatures.

There were 28 people searching for Mr Srawn on Sunday, and a NSW Police Force spokesperson confirmed similar numbers would be involved as the search continues on Monday.
The petition was initiated by family in the US on Saturday, and called for extra numbers to urgently join the search in the Kosciuszko National Park.
''In order to expedite search efforts, more rescue staff and resources are required,'' the petition said. ''We acknowledge that a helicopter is being used, but additional rescue personnel are desperately needed due to the size of the national park.''
Specialist alpine-trained police from Victoria joined NSW and Australian Federal Police colleagues in Sunday's search, and were assisted by crews from the State Emergency Service and National Parks and Wildlife Service.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue helicopter and an AFP helicopter were also being used.
There will be at least three searches on Monday, focused on the areas of Lake Albina northwards to Lady Northcotes Creek, the ridge line to the west of the creek and Abbott Peak to Mount Kosciuszko.
Sunday's search efforts were focused on the north-western side of the main range.
Mr Strawn, an armed forces reservist, has been trained to survive in freezing temperatures and police are still treating the case as a search and rescue operation.
His family has withdrawn a $15,000 reward, saying it may have encouraged amateur hikers into the rugged and dangerous mountains. The reward was offered on Saturday to help find the 25-year-old student, who was last seen when he parked his rental car at the Charlotte Pass village on May 13.
A NSW Police Force spokesman said on Friday the involvement of ADF personnel was highly unlikely and would be outside standard operating procedures.
