About 10.40pm on Friday, January 19, a man assaulted a woman by shocking her with an improvised electrical weapon, before attempting to steal her handbag.
Friends of the woman came to her assistance, one of whom was then stabbed by the offender who then ran from the scene.
The offender is described as being about 188cm (6'2") tall, of medium build, wearing a black hooded jumper and dark shorts.
Police seek anyone who may have been in the area at the time, who witnessed anything unusual, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact police on 131 444, Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website, quoting reference number 6224463.
