A machete, knife, baseball bat, balaclava and gloves were found by police in a car stopped on the way to a home invasion, a court has heard.

Jackson Allred, 20, and Shane Cringle, 27, appeared before the ACT Supreme Court on Thursday on a charge of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary. They have pleaded not guilty to plotting the foiled home invasion from behind prison walls.
Police intercepted a car carrying Allred and four others in Belconnen in May 2011. Officers seized the vehicle and found in the boot a blue sports bag containing weapons.
A police informant said a knife was found in a rear footwell and drug paraphernalia in the glove box.
It is alleged police swooped on the car after information garnered from a series of phone calls between Allred and Cringle coming out of the prison.
The jurors have heard taped phone conversations Cringle made to both Allred and his girlfriend, where the inmate allegedly sent Allred an SOS to help repay a $440 drug debt. The Crown alleges the conversations show the pair planning to raid a Florey property.
On the night of the incident, Allred and three other men picked up Cringle's girlfriend from her Spence home. Police followed the car through Florey before swooping on it metres from the alleged target.
But lawyers for the accused said the group were on their way to the property to buy cannabis.
The defence argued the Crown wrongly interpreted the phone conversations as an agreement to commit the home invasion.
The trial continues on Friday.
