It is understood he left his wallet and key cards behind.
Police have renewed their calls for information regarding his whereabouts in recent days.
Mr Carville is described as being in his 50s, of a slim build with shoulder length brown/grey hair and of Caucasian appearance.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen a man matching the description above or who may know the whereabouts of Mr Carville to contact police on 131 444.
