A Queanbeyan unit where a one-year-old girl died in a fire on Monday has been handed back to its owners, police say.

Police are yet to say what caused the fire which ripped through the second-storey unit on Mowatt Street, however duty officer Detective Sergeant Michael Handley said on Wednesday forensics had processed the unit and it was no longer a 'declared' crime scene.
Detective Sergeant Handley said investigators have spoken to a number of witnesses, including the girl's mother who was rescued from the unit's balcony along with the girl's three-year-old brother, and are preparing a brief for the coroner.
The brief is expected to be handed to the coroner in a couple of weeks.
More information on how the girl's 22-year-old mother and three-year-old brother are recovering was unavailable due to her mother's request for privacy.
The occupants of other units in the tower were given alternate accommodation while police combed the scene of the fire.
Since the removal of the crime scene, Detective Sergeant Handley said: "As far as I'm aware it's business as normal for other occupants."
A makeshift memorial had sprung up at the tower's base on Tuesday, with plush teddies and pink blooms left as a tribute to the child.
A crowd-funding campaign for the family has raised more than $2000 in just two days.
The woman who created the page, Kirrilly Gregerson, said she had no personal connection to the mother before the tragedy but "simply wanted to help a grieving family".
"I am a mother, so I understand how deep our love runs for our children," she said.
"With great love, will also come great devastation at a time of loss such as this. I can't turn back time, but I can try to lesson financial burdens by asking the community to donate."
She said the family had expressed appreciation for the generosity of those who had donated to the fund.
