Fringe Festival producer Chenoeh Miller will be "a bit braver" and take more risks when she co-directs next year's event with its former production manager Gregor Murray.

After producing the "highly successful" 2015 festival, Arts Minister Joy Burch announced Ms Miller's reappointment to take the helm for the next two years on Friday.
The 2014 festival, under former director Jorian Gardner, was marred by political controversy over a performance by a female burlesque dancer dressed as Adolf Hitler, dancing to the song Gangnam Style.
Ms Miller admitted the incident had hung over the head of the 2015 festival's promotion.
"I did play by all the rules last year and I was careful not to be controversial, but risk-taking is part of a fringe festival," she said.
"I intend to be a bit braver… it [the 2014 controversy] was a significant event and part of fringe history, but I think we've moved on from that."
While the February festival's program won't be announced until early next year, Ms Miller said she had "some pretty big ideas" to build on its past success.
"Certainly our focus will remain on the cultural diversity of the artists," she said.
"I think the festival last year was a grand success and the support, the team and the sponsorship was phenomenal."
Ms Miller said Mr Murray was the Canberra Theatre Centre's former audio director who she had worked closely with on past productions.
"Last year he was definitely working in a production capacity helping with all the logistics and I did all the programming and creative directing," she said.
"I really appreciate having him as an equal partner creating the festival for the next two years.
"I was really happy with the quality of the festival this year but we'll be taking forward its branding and identity."
Ms Burch said Ms Miller was an "outstanding Fringe Festival producer" who had established strong connections to the ACT arts community.
"The Fringe has been a wonderful complement to the National Multicultural Festival for a number of years and will return alongside the National Multicultural Festival again in 2016 and 2017," she said.
"Each year the Fringe celebrates contemporary arts and showcases the diversity of alternative and cross-cultural arts created in the ACT."
Music, dance and spoken word performances featured heavily in the 2015 program, Ms Burch said, and Canberrans could expect the same high quality next year.
The Canberra Multicultural Fringe festival runs from February 12 to 14, 2016.
