ONA Coffee founder Sasa Sestic has launched a Kickstarter campaign for The Coffee Man book, a follow-up to the documentary of the same name.

The 2016 documentary followed Sestic's journey, first to the Australian Barista Championships, where he became the first Canberran to win the title in 2015, and then on to the World Championships in Seattle, where he overcame illness to stun the world and lift the trophy as the world's best barista.

Throughout his coffee career, Sestic's main passion has been visiting coffee farms around the world and empowering the workers, families and communities behind them.

The Coffee Man book is being crowdsourced to continue this work. The book will include stories from the farms and communities that Sestic works with, and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go back to them to improve infrastructure, resources and community endeavours.

The campaign's initial target is $60,000, and pledges start at $10 and range up to $5000, which will get you a personalised trip with Sestic to process your own coffee, including flights, 50 kilograms of coffee and a copy of the book.
