Serco contract not the solution Centrelink clients need

The Coalition is staking more of its reputation than it realises on the success or failure of its solution to ballooning call waiting times for Centrelink clients. By announcing on Wednesday it would outsource call centre work to multinational services company Serco, the government has invited a private company into Department of Human Services tasks that are at the core of its public mission.
