Both international airlines flying out of Canberra have been named among the most on-time in Australia during 2017.

Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways were both inside the top 10 most on-time international airways in the country, according to analysis of data from air travel company OAG by finder.com.au.
The combined monthly data for the past calendar year showed Singapore Airlines came in sixth place, with 84.15 per cent of its flights on time, while Qatar Airways was close behind with 82.88 per cent.
Royal Brunei Airlines came out on top, with almost 92 per cent of its flights last year on-time, followed by Hawaiian Airlines on 87 per cent and Qantas on 85.68 per cent.
Rounding out the top 10 were Japan Airlines, Etihad, Alitalia, Delta Airlines and Air New Zealand.
Air China was named the worst offender, with 40.24 per cent of its flights in Australia delayed last year.
Philippine Airlines, China Eastern, Asiana Airlines and China Southern made the top five for airlines with the most delayed flights, with 39.49, 37.85, 35.66 and 35.51 per cent respectively.
Other airlines to make the list of most delayed was Indonesian-based airline Garuda, AirAsia, China Airways, Air Canada and Thai Airways.
Travel insurance expert for Finder, Bessie Hassan, said the data compiled by the website showed a variety of reasons for the delayed flights.
"Some flights are more likely to be delayed due to a range of contributing factors, including engineering problems or weather issues," she said.
"If a flight is significantly delayed or cancelled due to plane issues, it's up to the airline to reimburse or compensate passengers."
While Qantas made the overall top 10, it also topped the list for the most on-time flights out of Australian airlines that travel internationally.
Virgin Australia came in second at just more than 81 per cent, followed by Jetstar on 76 per cent, with TigerAir rounding out the list at just under 75 per cent.
The data coincides with a report released earlier this week showing cancellation rates for flights out of Canberra decreased last month.
While flights between Canberra and Sydney have previously topped the nation, reaching a high of 8.1 per cent in September 2017, the rate fell to 2 per cent in January.
While cancellation rates have fallen every month since September, it is still above the national average of 1.5 per cent.
Canberra Airport managing director Stephen Byron said he hoped the trend of decreasing cancellation rate continued.
"It is encouraging to see these results decline over the past few months but ultimately we would like to see Canberrans getting a level of service and reliability close to the national average," he said.
"It remains to be seen whether this trend can continue and we certainly hope that it does."
