Former Hit 104.7 breakfast announcer Tanya Hennessy, now based in Sydney, returns triumphant to Canberra next weekend to promote her first book Am I Doing This Right?. She'll be meeting with fans and signing copies of the book at Robinsons Bookstore in the Canberra Centre (Level 1, Monaro Mall) on Saturday, June 16 from 11am to noon.

In the meantime, we asked some deep and meaningful questions of the YouTube sensation, who was quite emotional about the contribution of Canberra to her ever-flourishing career. And even revealed she wrote most of her book at the Canberra airport.
How do you feel about returning to Canberra?
"I’m so excited to be back! This is the second time I’ve been back since I left! It feels so much like home. I miss the Canberra events and food! I miss Goodberrys! I miss my hairdresser Lexi (who features in two of my biggest videos which now have upwards of 25million views).
"Canberra is so under-rated. I feel like I fly Canberra’s flag even though I don’t live there anymore.
"I can’t wait for the signing next Saturday, so I can look people in the eyes, hug them and say sincerely, 'Thank you so much for your support!' I wouldn’t be where I am without that. The support I have received from Canberrans has been extraordinary.
"After all the issues with finding friends when I first moved there, I’m really excited to see all my Canberra friends while I am back! When I moved to Canberra I felt so alone - so that’s incredible.
"Kristen Henry from Mix is hosting the event which I am thrilled about, it’s going to be so fun! I just can’t wait to say thank you to Canberra.
How much of Canberra features in the book?
"So much! A lot happened to me in Canberra so it features heavily! You’ll have to buy it to see but there’s plenty of Canberra chat.''
What was the worst and best thing about Canberra?
"Best thing? The Belconnen owl and Canberra food is really freaking amazing. Also my hair, brow and nail ladies - Lexi Bannister, The Lab girls and Jess Peris - I miss them so much! No one compares the Canberra beauty scene is the best! I wish I could have taken them with me!
"Worst thing? Parking in Civic.''
How do you feel to have your book published?
"It feels crazy. I still can’t believe it! I’m so grateful. I’ve wanted to write a book for years so I’m stoked. I have pinch me moments every day and I wrote most of it in Canberra Airport actually.''
What's next for you?
"I want to write a TV show. I am writing it currently so standby!''
