Members of ACT Policing's Taskforce Nemesis executed 13 warrants across Canberra, which resulted in three men being arrested.

One of those arrested was a 25-year-old man from Isabella Plains who police allege is the sergeant at arms of the Nomads gang.

He was charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled drug other than cannabis, and possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

A 35-year-old man from Calwell, alleged by police to be the president of the Comancheros gang, was summonsed to appear in court for tax offences.

Four more men have been summonsed on a variety of firearms and drugs charges.

During the raids police seized three guns, 30 grams of cocaine, over 700 tablets believed to contain MDMA, methamphetamine and cannabis.

They also seized over $40,000 in cash, allegedly stolen Australian service medals, and a number of prohibited weapons including a set of nunchucks.

The ACT'S Chief Police Officer, Justine Saunders, said the force was cracking down on gun violence following a recent spate of shootings in the capital.

"This operation is just one step in our ongoing efforts to combat serious and organised criminal activity in the territory – particularly firearms related violence associated with Canberra's outlaw motorcycle gangs," she said.

"The safety of our community is paramount and recent shooting incidents in our suburbs only serve to highlight the need for continued focus on disrupting these violent criminal groups."
