A teenager has been charged after an alleged home invasion in which police say a dog's ear was severed and a gun fired.

ACT Policing said an 18-year-old north Canberra man would face the ACT Children's Court on Tuesday, charged with aggravated burglary after the alleged incident in Watson on March 17, 2017.
At 10.47pm that night, police say two males wearing balaclavas forced their way into a home on Molesworth Street before threatening the occupants.
During a brief altercation, it is alleged one of the occupants was put through a glass window and suffered a cut to the head. Police said a gun was also fired in the house, and a dog's ear was cut off with a machete.
Seven months after the alleged incident, police were forced to shoot the dog dead after it fatally mauled its owner, Tania Klemke.
Last week, ACT criminal investigations manager Harry Hains confirmed Ms Klemke was home at the time of the alleged home invasion, but had not been injured. He said that incident and Ms Klemke's death was not linked.
The teenager's arrest and scheduled court appearance comes less than a week after police released four face-fits in connection with their investigation, which is ongoing.
