Firefighters managed to prevent a house from going up in smoke in the early hours of Saturday morning, after finding the garage, which had been converted into living space, alight.
Paramedics treated a teenage girl for smoke inhalation at the scene before taking her to Calvary Hospital in a stable condition.
The fire, which was started by candles, was extinguished before it could spread to the remainder of the house.
Three fire trucks along with a breathing apparatus support van attended the incident at Pepin Place in Charnwood just after 1:30am.
