A teenager has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital after a mountain bike crash in a remote area of the Brindabella Ranges.

Snowy Hydro Southcare paramedics winched the 18-year-old man to safety on Wednesday. It is understood the man was in a remote area of the mountain ranges.
The man suffered a head injury in the accident. A Snowy Hydro Southcare spokeswoman said the man arrived at the Canberra Hospital for treatment shortly before 2.30pm.
An ACT Health spokeswoman said the man was in a stable condition.
There are over 400 kilometres of managed trails within the Bindabella National Park, Namadgi National Park and Bimberi Nature Reserve.
It is unclear where the accident occurred or whether the rider was accompanied.
