The Education Directorate is considering permanently expanding the popular Telopea Park School as enrolments threaten to exceed capacity within the next few years.

Already the school is exactly at its capacity of 1641 students, according to directorate School Census figures and capacity data released late last year.
A spokeswoman said the directorate was looking at a number of options to help manage enrolments at the French-Australian public school.
This could include reducing out-of-area enrolments, adjusting the priority enrolment area boundary and adjusting the use of existing facilities, she said.
The directorate would also consider demountables in the short-term, modular design buildings for a medium-term expansion or a permanent capacity increase.
As well, the directorate was considering changes to the structure of the school, the spokeswoman said.
"In recent years, Telopea Park School's enrolments have been increasing which is an excellent indicator of the success of public education in this area," she said.
"The process of considering these options is still under way and no decision has been reached as to the most effective option, or combination of options that will provide a solution to anticipated future enrolment demand."
Parents have expressed concern the school might reduce from four to three kindergarten streams but the directorate said enrolments were still being accepted and "no decision has been made yet about kindergarten classes".
"Any decision made will be to manage capacity in the coming years," the spokeswoman said.
Telopea Park School Parents and Citizens Association president Colombe Bories said the group would not support a reduction in the number of kindergarten classes available.
"Of course [high demand] is the sign of a healthy school so of course we don't want to see it decreased," she said.
"I believe there is room for expansion but I'd like to see more detail."
Telopea Park School parents have previously fought against moves to decrease capacity at the school via a proposed land swap deal aimed at helping the Canberra Services Club.
The ACT government backed down on the 2015 proposal within months following a strong community campaign.
