It's a somewhat confusing move for Canberra TV viewers. But it's a monumental move for news presenter Sandra Sully, who will now have presented on all of our commercial stations.

Initially from Brisbane, Sully moved to Canberra for two years early in her career, working for Prime when it first switched on.

She arrived just in time for aggregation in 1989, when Canberra and other regional areas went from having one commercial channel to three overnight.

"In those days the TV technicians were going out across the country retuning television sets … because digital TVs didn't exist, and it wasn't all an electronic upgrade, so they all had to be manually retuned from memory," she said.

After working for Prime for a year, Sully moved up to Parliament House to work for Network Ten, and she still works for the station 26 years later.

With Network 10's content now airing on WIN, Sully has appeared on screens in Canberra on Prime, Southern Cross and WIN. She also made an appearance on SBS for Lee Lin Chin's spoof Broadcast Battleground.

So will we be seeing her on the ABC any time soon, to complete the whole set?

"You never know. Life's a gamble with television so you never say no," she laughed.

The bubbly presenter popped to Canberra on Friday for WIN's launch at Jamala Wildlife Lodge and was particularly impressed with the venue, having not long returned from South Africa, where she was a guest contestant on I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
