Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Boris Johnson, Angela Merkel, Ivanka Trump and Kim Jong-un rolled into Canberra on Tuesday as The Wharf Revue: The Patriotic Rag began its two-week Canberra season.

Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe, Phillip Scott and Canberra's Blazey Best take on all these characters, as well as a range of local politicians, singing and dancing their way through 90 minutes of political satire.
"Canberra is our spiritual home," Mr Forsythe said. "The public servants and the politicians and everyone who has to deal with what goes on in Parliament House totally get what we do."
Mr Forsythe plays Vladimir Putin to Biggin's Trump in the show stopping final number set in Mar-a-lago where the pair sing a rousing song about a "bromance with no borders".
When it comes to Trump, Mr Biggins said, given that everyone in the world seems to be satirising him, the trick is to think of a point of difference.
"Trump has become a bit of a go-to politician for everybody … everyone's a satirist and within minutes of anything happening there's a thousand things on the internet," he said.
The Wharf Revue: The Patriotic Rag is at the Canberra Theatre until September 23, 2017.
