An alleged kidnapper assaulted a man and then told the man's partner if she called police she would "wind up in a hole", a court has heard.

Nigel Barlow, 37, and his girlfriend Janelle Lewis, 33, are facing trial in the ACT Supreme Court for their role in the alleged kidnapping.
They deny the charges and have pleaded not guilty.
About 8am on July 7 last year, it's alleged three men – including Barlow – and Lewis broke into the man's house in Richardson.
The Crown says they assaulted the man with half a pool cue before loading him into a car and driving him to a unit in Wanniassa.
Once at the unit, the court heard they chained the man's legs and hands to a stool and strapped duct tape around his head and eyes.
It's alleged Barlow kicked the man before locking him in a room. The man's girlfriend was threatened with rape, the court heard.
By noon, the man had been driven to Calwell shops and freed, after the intervention of another woman at the flat.
The alleged incident was a payback, the court heard.
The man had agreed to store Barlow's things in his shed in exchange for ice. When Barlow started bringing friends around to the shed and leaving his cars at the property, the man later felt he was being taken advantage of, the court heard.
He began swapping Barlow's things for drugs, prosecutor Trent Hickey said. And the kidnapping happened when he found out.
The man lived at the property with his partner and two young girls.
"They've taken him ... they're ... going to kill him," the man's partner is heard saying during an emergency call played on Friday.
The woman also gave evidence on Friday, and said she saw Barlow, Lewis and another man standing "menacingly" over her partner.
Later, she said of her partner's face when she saw him in the backyard: "I could barely see any skin that wasn't covered in blood."
Her partner wasn't sure he would be coming back, the court heard.
Barlow and Lewis are charged with aggravated burglary, assault, kidnapping and forcible confinement. Barlow faces an additional two charges of assault for hitting the man in the car and in the room.
The trial continues before Justice Hilary Penfold.
