A third truck has caught on fire on a stretch of the Hume Highway near Sutton Forest in a single week, in what appears to be an unexplained coincidence.

Live Traffic NSW reported at 5.25pm on Thursday that one of two north-bound lanes was closed on the Hume Highway near Hanging Rock Road after a truck caught fire. The lanbe reopened shortly before 6pm.

The two previous incidents happened near the same spot on the highway, both involving semi-trailers that caught fire.
