Tim the Yowie Man explores Araluen's road less travelled

After pulling up on the gravel edge of the Araluen Road, near the three rickety old wooden bridges just out of Braidwood, I triumphantly fold back the roof on the yowie mobile. Canberra's stormy start to summer has resulted in few opportunities to slip the canvas roof off my trusty jeep and to feel the wind blow through my hair (don't worry, there's no chance of losing the akubra, it's safely stowed in the console).
