One Canberran was lucky to have escaped uninjured after a tree crashed onto his car's front bonnet on Tuesday morning.

The car was travelling north on Hobart Avenue in Forrest when the tree fell, around 7.45am.
The trunk smashed the vehicle's windscreen and dented the front doors and bonnet.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said a man was driving the car when the tree came down.
Paramedics checked the driver who sustained only minor injuries and did not need to be taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, motorists near Parliament House faced delays after a car flipped on its roof on State Circle, near the Commonwealth Avenue off-ramp, about 7pm.
The male driver of the car was not injured was not injured.
The incidents came after a night of bucketing rain on Monday which saw the ACT State Emergency Services respond to at least 16 calls for help as roofs across the city sprung leaks. Only minor damage was reported.
In the 24 hours to 6.30am on Tuesday, Canberra had been drenched in 22.6 millimetres of rain. Another 2.6 millimetres fell during the rest of the day as winds up to 54km/hr swept through the capital.
Another three to 10 millimetres was forecast to fall on Tuesday and up to six millimetres on Wednesday, potentially bringing the week's early total up to 38 millimetres, just shy of the 46 millimetre average for the whole month of August.
Perisher and Thredbo were covered in 30 centimetres of snow overnight with another dusting expected on Tuesday.
Weatherzone meteorologist Kim Westcott said a few more showers bringing about 5 millimetres of rain could fall in coming days.
Winds were expected to drop off on Wednesday before chilly mornings brought a chance of frost at the weekend.
