An alleged drunk driver who smashed through the front yard of a Lyneham home after doing burnouts through Canberra's main drag will front the ACT Magistrates Court in November.

The 29-year-old Queanbeyan man was caught performing a massive burnout at the intersection of Macarthur Avenue and Northbourne Avenue in his white Holden ute on Saturday night.
Police pursued the man, who continued to weave among the traffic and out of sight.
He was found at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Mouat Street where he was performing another burnout. The driver evaded police and sped away.
Police later found the driver on Cossington Smith Crescent where the ute had lost control and crashed into a front yard of a residence.
The man was taken into custody and charged with resisting police, as well as multiple traffic charges.
Penalties range from on-the-spot fines and demerit points to receiving a summons to face court or having your car seized.
