The ACT still has the highest immunisation rates of any state or territory while the number of people refusing to vaccinate their children has dropped for the first time since 2012.

It comes as four cases of whooping cough were recorded at Turner Primary School, bringing the total to 77 for 2014.
Statistics from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register show 92.91 per cent of ACT children aged between 12 to 18 months were fully immunised as of December 2014.
No other state or territory got above 91.5 per cent with the closest being Queensland.
For children aged 24 to 27 months, 92.84 per cent were fully vaccinated in the ACT, which includes vaccinations for meningococcal C and Varicella.
Finally for children in the cohort aged between 60 to 63 months, 93.29 per cent had been vaccinated.
Across all three groups, the ACT had the highest coverage in Australia, although coverage had decreased in the 24 to 27 month bracket.
In addition, the number of ACT parents objecting to having their children vaccinated decreased for the first time since 2012 in the December quarter.
Of the territory's 38,933 children, only 472 had parents who objected to vaccinations, equalling just 1.21 per cent of the population.
This was a small drop from the previous quarter when 485 children, or 1.25 per cent, had parents who recorded conscientious objections, the first drop since June 2012.
The ACT has a below average number of conscientious objections to vaccinations and the second lowest of any state or territory, after the Northern Territory.
The ACT government launched a campaign earlier this week to offer free whooping cough vaccinations to pregnant women after a Turner school recorded four cases in a year 5 and 6 group.
ACT Health acting chief health officer Andrew Pengilley said the high rates indicated Canberrans understood the importance of vaccinating their children.
"Vaccinations provide the best form of protection from diseases such as whooping cough, meningococcal C and measles," he said.
Dr Pengilley said the ACT Health Protection Service was working on the implementation of the ACT immunisation strategy, which would target four year old immunisations through a booklet sent to all parents of children enrolling in school or childcare.
