Organiser Jon Ordon said he was very happy with the new home for the fair, which he estimates attracted at least 800 people on Sunday.

"It's been fantastic, we've been bowled over by people, with a lot of fresh faces and young people," he said.

Mr Ordon, who runs Revolve Records in Sydney, said he used to hold the fair in Dickson, but after his friends offered up their new venue in Lyneham, it was hard to say no.

"It's just got the right vibe, with a really relaxed feeling. People are sitting around talking music and having a coffee or a beer. It has atmosphere," he said.

The fair, which started early in the day, had seen dozens of boxes of records walk out the door.

"I have about 80 per cent of the stall space, and there are about five other local traders and I reckon we've sold about 25 boxes of 75 records," he said.

Mr Ordon said he was not surprised young people keep coming back to the analogue sound.

"If you have a decent '60s or '70s amp and turntable, then you are going to get a great analogue sound and better atmosphere compared to digital which can be quite hollow.

"Led Zeppelin was produced on analogue, so if you want to go back to the past you are better off sourcing the analogue sound," he said.

Mr Ordon said the physicality of records was also an attraction.

"With a record, you can hold the memory, see the artwork and you remember where and when you bought it. You don't remember a download," he said.

The next fair will be held in October or November.
